FX Travertino® replicates the exquisite, natural beauty of travertine stone. Its simplicity and durability make it as
attractive for high-end commercial developments as for intimate family spaces. Different application methods will
produce a wide variety of special surface effects.
Ease of application
FX Travertino® is a premium product, producing many different special effects on prepared surfaces such as plaster
plasterboard and rendered walls.
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose sur
Surfaces should be as smooth and clean as possible to ensure best finish. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or
concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss sur
aces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Then apply FX Stucco Undercoat as required.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad, flat stirrer
using an upward action, or preferably use a
power-driven mixing paddle.
: Using a stainless steel stucco trowel, apply FX Travertino® evenly over prepared surface. Before the FX
Travertino® is dry, use a damp sponge or FX Travertino® tool in a circular motion over the finish to create ‘pockets’, then
run a clean trowel over the surface.
, use a 150-grade sandpaper pad to smooth the finish. Next, use
a 180-grade sandpaper pad to polish, then glide trowel over the finished surface.
, apply FX Wicked
Wax® Clear evenly over the finish, using a clean white cloth. Finally, buff and polish finish with a lamb’s wool buffer
: FX Travertino® can also be applied by brush, roller or mitt to achieve different surface effects.
When dry, finish using instructions as for trowel application above.

Wear eye protection and dust mask when spraying, as splashes may cause eye irritation and inhalation of spray
mist may cause respiratory irritation.
Do not disturb, sand or scrub, and avoid any peripheral dust. If you do not have professional expertise in the
handling/removal of asbestos sheeting, use a licensed removalist.

Prevent spill from entering waterways
Collect and dispose of spilled material according to local regulations
Wash away remnants
with liberal amounts of cold water.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight
Store away from strong acids and moisture
Keep containers closed
at all times and check regularly for spills.
